Dixon also recorded her first career double-double pulling down 11 rebounds to go along with her 29 points against Pitt.
Dixon is the first Clemson player to earn ACC Player of the Week honors since Maxine White was named the Player of the Week on Dec. 19, 2005.
DeShields had an impressive showing last week, averaging 23.0 points and 8.0 rebounds, while leading the Tar Heels to a pair of wins over Top 20 ACC opponents. DeShields shot 50.0 percent from the field, 40 percent from long distance and 85.7 percent from the free throw line. She scored 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 79-70 over No. 20/23 NC State, and posted a 25-point, seven rebound performance in a come-from-behind 65-61 win at No. 18/17 Florida State. The Norcross, Ga., native led North Carolina back from a 12-point first-half deficit by scoring 14 of her 25 points in the second half.
DeShields leads all freshmen with 19.3 points and ranks third among all league rookies with 7.0 rebounds per game in league contests. It is DeShields second Rookie of the Week honor as she earned the honor on Dec. 2.
