Sophomore forward registers nine points in a 2-0 weekend for Clemson
GEENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson sophomore forward Tori Andreski has been named the ACC Women’s Soccer Player of the week, as announced Tuesday by the league office. It is her first player of the week honor of her career, and the first weekly honor awarded for the 2014 season.
Andreski registered nine points on four goals and one assist to help Clemson to a pair of wins over Auburn (2-1) and Winthrop (7-0) to open the 2014 season. The Wilkesboro, North Carolina, native gave the Tigers their first goal of the season in the first half against Auburn and then added three more strikes and an assist against the Eagles to become the 12th different player in program history to record a hat trick. Her seven points against Winthrop tied her for fifth in Clemson history for points scored in a single game.
ACC women’s soccer play continues on Wednesday, Aug. 27 with Pitt hosting Robert Morris. All 14 ACC women’s soccer teams will be in action on Friday, Aug. 29.
