GREENSBORO, N.C. (TheACC.com) – Boston College holds the top seed for the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Championship, which gets underway Thursday, April 26 at Duke’s Koskinen Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
The Eagles (17-0, 7-0 ACC) will play No. 8 seed Louisville (6-10, 0-7 ACC) in the first game of the tournament on Thursday at 11 a.m. Boston College topped the Cardinals, 19-10, in both teams’ regular-season meeting on March 17.
Other quarterfinal matchups include No. 2 seed North Carolina (12-3, 6-1 ACC) playing No. 7 seed Syracuse (9-8, 1-6 ACC) in a rematch of last year’s title game, No. 3 Virginia Tech (12-5, 5-2 ACC) against No. 6 Duke (7-8, 2-5 ACC) and No. 4 Virginia (10-8, 4-3) taking on No. 5 Notre Dame (9-8, 3-4 ACC).
Virginia and Notre Dame will meet following the conclusion of the Boston College – Louisville game at 2 p.m.
The North Carolina – Syracuse game is slated for 5 p.m., while Virginia Tech and Duke will close out quarterfinal action at 8 p.m.
The four winners will meet in the semifinals on Friday, April 27 at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., and the ACC Championship title game is set for Sunday, April 29 at 1 p.m.
All seven games of the tournament will be televised on the ACC’s Regional Sports Networks (RSN) and will also be available on ACC Network Extra.
