GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson graduate student guard Simone Westbrook has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Georgia Tech freshman guard Elizabeth Balogun is this week’s ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced Monday afternoon by the conference office and voted upon by the Blue Ribbon Panel. 
 
Westbrook poured in a career-high 30 points in Clemson’s 80-90 loss to Davidson. The Chandler, Arizona, native knocked down 12-of-17 shots, including two 3-pointers along with adding five assists and five steals. Her 12 made field goals were also a career high. It marked the eighth 30-point performance by an ACC player this season.



 
In Tech’s lone game this week, Balogun led the way offensively with a team-high 15 points for her seventh game this season scoring in double-figures. The rookie from Chattanooga, Tennessee, nearly missed recording her first collegiate double-double, pulling down a career-high eight rebounds. Balogun shot 54.5 percent from the field and hit three 3-pointers, while also recording a personal-best three blocks in the outing.
