GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2016 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball broadcast schedule was announced today, and includes 176 games across ESPN and regional networks. The 176 games is the most in league history, bettering the previous record of 147.
Beginning April 4 with Virginia Tech at Louisville, ACC baseball will be spotlighted on ESPNU’s ACC Monday five times. Two more weekend contests will be on ESPNU, while 16 games will be televised by the league’s regional sports networks, which include Fox Sports South, Fox Sports Carolinas, Fox Sports Florida, Sun Sports, Fox Sports Indiana, Fox Sports Midwest, Comcast Sports Net Mid-Atlantic, New England Sports Network (NESN), the YES Network, the Madison Square Garden Network (MSG) in New York and Root Sports in Pennsylvania.
The 2016 ACC Baseball Championship, held May 24-29 in Durham, North Carolina, will be televised in its entirety, with games on Tuesday through Saturday on RSN and Sunday’s championship on ESPN2.
Eight different ACC teams have been ranked in the preseason polls, including four that have earned spots in the Top 10, tied for the most of any conference. The 2016 season gets underway on Friday, Feb. 19.
