Ah, right. Spain. This is, after all, the Olympics, and here on Friday night at Greenwich Park Arena, Team USA cruised behind another impressive second-half performance, taking down Argentina in the semifinal, 109-83, and setting up a gold-medal rematch with Spain (come-from-behind winners over Russia) on Sunday.

"It happens almost every night for us," point guard Chris Paul said. "Everybody always said, 'What happens if nobody's making shots?' Luckily, we haven't had that problem yet. We have so many scorers on this team that, at some point in time, guys are going to make a few shots."

So with 10 minutes left - in the gold medal match - and the U.S. protecting a one-goal lead against Japan, on came Becky Sauerbrunn.

"I don't know how much you can prepare yourself for that," she said, laughing. "But, I mean, once I went in, everyone on the team was just, like, 'You've got this, play smart, you deserve to be out here.'

Computer scientists have isolated the movements of Olympic swimmers and divers through a cutting-edge technique that reveals their motions above and below the water's surface.

The work, conducted by Manhattan Mocap, LLC, together with New York University's Movement Laboratory and The New York Times, analyzes Dana Vollmer, who won three gold medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, as well as Abby Johnston, who won a silver medal in synchronized diving, and Nicholas McCrory, a bronze medalist in synchronized diving.
