The Deacons and Paladins have not met on the hardwood since the 1995-96 season when Tim Duncan led Wake Forest to an 81-49 win over Furman at the Joel Coliseum. Duncan scored his 1,000th career point in the win.
Miami is 6-1 against UCF in the all-time series, which dates back to the 1986-87 campaign, and 4-0 at home. Reggie Johnson has totalled 937 career points in four seasons for the Canes. He’ll be the 34th Cane to top the 1,000 point plateau.
This is the second meeting between NC State and Stanford. The Wolfpack is averaging 85.8 points per game at home this season, while holding its opponents to 66.0 points per contest.
Wednesday, Dec. 19, will be the eighth meeting between Texas and North Carolina. It is the second game of a four-year home-and-home series between the two programs.
