For the first time in 25 years, NC State's volleyball team is headed to the NCAA Championships. The last time these two teams met, the Aggies won 3-1 in the 1990 Texas A&M Aggies Classic.

The two teams will meet for the third straight year in the tournament when they play at Iowa State's Hilton Coliseum. This is North Carolina's 14th appearance in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament and their fourth in the last five years.

The Cavaliers have a 4-1 record all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Virginia and Minnesota will meet for the fifth time, with the Golden Gophers holding a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series. The two teams last played in 2003.
