Monday's ACC LIVE finale looks at the impact conference newcomers Virginia Tech and Miami had on the '2004-05 season. One of the major accomplishments the two schools had this past fall was a memorable football match-up in Miami, Fla. ACC LIVE takes viewers back to a match-up that gave ACC fans a Championship football game the year before they were suppose to have one. But this game was considered the first unofficial ACC Championship football game, where Miami battled Virginia Tech for the title. Tech won the game 16-10 and was awarded the title.
The show also delivers bloopers and highlights from over 200 ACC student athletes and coaches who were interviewed this past season. Reporter Jenn Hildreth shows viewers raw/uncut footage with never before seen outtakes, so funny that it will leave viewers wanting more.
ACC LIVE looks ahead to the '2005-06 season and welcoming inductee Boston College, which will become the 12th member of the ACC this July. After going 9-3 in the Big East last season BC looks to surprise the competition as it delivers talent, enthusiasm and charisma to the conference sports. Monday's show will also include in-depth coverage of the '2004-05 ACC championship events.
This season the ACC went the extra mile to strive for excellence, apparent after three teams captured NCAA Championships - North Carolina (basketball), Wake Forest (women's field hockey) and Duke (women's golf).
"ACC Headlines" delivers the latest news and notes from around the conference, to keep viewers up to date on all the action. Mike Hogewood hosts ACC LIVE from FSN South's Atlanta studio.
