Commissioner Swofford's Speech - Induction into NC Sports Hall of Fame
RALEIGH (ncshof.org)- Four individuals with ACC ties, including Commissioner John D. Swofford, were among those inducted into the 2009 North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame Class on Thursday night.
The six new members in the class were Willie Burden of Statesboro, Ga., Sylvia Hatchell of Chapel Hill, Jerry Moore of Boone, Dave Odom of Columbia, S.C., John D. Swofford of Greensboro, and Roger Watson of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
They were enshrined at the 46th annual induction banquet held last night, May 14 in the main ballroom of the North Raleigh Hilton Hotel.
