When and how did you start playing lacrosse? I started playing in 8th grade, just because a lot of my friends were playing and I thought it would be fun and my sister had played before me.
What other sports did you play in high school? Or before? I played soccer and basketball as well.
How did you make the decision to just play lacrosse in college? I just always had the most fun at lacrosse, most of my friends played too. And that's how I got recruited to BC and that's where I wanted to go.
Why did you choose Boston College? I wanted to be near a city but not in a city and I wanted to stay close to home.
What is the biggest difference between playing lacrosse in high school and in college? I would say the pace of the game and the amount of time you spend practicing and preparing for each game. Lacrosse in college took it to a whole new level.
Is there anything in particular you're taking away from your BC career? The friendships with my teammates, I'll never forget, those will be the people at my wedding, the people I will stay close with the rest of my life.
What do you do when you're off the field? I like to shop a lot, Boston is good for shopping and I just like to hang out.
What are your plans for after graduation? I'm waiting to hear from BC Law School, I'm on the waiting list right now and besides that I just plan on staying in Boston and attending law school sometime soon.
What is your greatest accomplishment off the field? I think this scholarship is a pretty big accomplishment.
What does it mean to you to be an ACC Scholar Athlete? I think it's a great accomplishment because it's a combination of hard work in the classroom and on the field and that's something that was always important to be growing up and in college.
What was the best advice you ever received from a coach? Just look to the next play, don't worry about mistakes, just keep looking to the next play.
What is something that most people don't know about you? I'm left-handed.
Are there any games that stick out either for you personally or for your team? Last year, we upset North Carolina and it was the first time we had beaten a top 10 team, it was the first time we had ever beaten two ACC teams in one season and the first time we ever beat North Carolina, it was a huge deal for us.
How do you think the transition from the Big East to the ACC has helped your program? Well you can see the changes, especially in our facilities. We just got a brand new field and even our locker rooms have been completely re-done. Everything is just so much nicer and there is such a higher level of competition. Just seeing how the girls before had to prepare for games and how we have to prepare for games, there's such a big difference.
What are your expectations for your team this season? We are hoping to upset some teams and win the ACC which is also something we have never done before.

When and how did you start playing lacrosse? I started when I was in second grade because my brother was in third grade and he had just started playing organized lacrosse, I always looked up to him and I started picking up a stick and we started playing together. The next year when I was able to start playing organized lacrosse I started.
Have you always played at Midfield? If not where else have you played? I've always played midfield, I don't know why. My brother was an attacker and I guess I didn't want to be exactly like him so I started playing Midfield. I always had pretty good speed, so I figured that was the position for me and it just stuck.
Did you play other sports in high school or before? Why did you choose to stay with lacrosse? I played football and high school and a year of basketball. I stayed with lacrosse because it gave me the best opportunity to go to a place like UNC.
What did you choose to go to UNC? I first visited when I was a junior, my unofficial visit and I have been in love with this school ever since I was young, so when I got an offer to play here is was a no-brainer for me. I thin it is the most complete university in the country, in terms of education, sports and just the overall aura of the place is awesome.
What has been your favorite lacrosse moment at UNC so far? I think its yet to come, this is year is a huge year for us and I am hoping to go out with a bang, hopefully we will be playing deep into the month of May and then win a National Championship.
What about favorite moment outside of lacrosse? This year, our basketball team winning the National Championship, that was an unbelievable night and we had a great time.
What are your plans for after college? Not sure right now, I'm doing an extra semester in the fall. After that, I would like to work in New York City. I would like to do something on the business side of advertising.
What has been the most memorable game for you at UNC? This year beating John Hopkins in overtime. They have become somewhat of a rival of ours and that game was just a lot of fun.
What is the best advice you have received from a coach? Coach Breschi, "10% of life is what happens to you, 90% is how you react." That is something that stuck with me for the rest of the season and as a captain that is something that I have tried to relay to the rest of the guys and I think a lot of people have bought into it.
What has it been like being captain this year? It's been great, a lot of time you have to try to take what the coaches say and relay it to all the guys or take what the guys are feeling and try to bring it to the coaches. I like being in the middle and trying to help out everyone and trying to make our team grow into what I know we are capable of being.
What are your goals for your team this season? We are taking it one game at a time, obviously, but we really want to play in a National Championship. North Carolina is way overdue and I think this could be the team with the right mindset and if we continue to get better everyday and everybody steps up it could easily be done.
What is it like to play in a competitive conference like the ACC? It's awesome, you can't ask for anything better; we all came to this school knowing that the ACC is the best lacrosse around. Knowing that every ACC game you go into you are going to have a battle is great, it's a fight every game and we love it.
