With the season not yet complete, Georgia Tech senior softball first baseman Whitney Haller already holds the ACC and Georgia Tech records for career home runs (57) and RBI in the 2009 season (43). ACC All Access reporter Heather Catlin profiles Haller’s triumphs with the Yellow Jackets and her plans to help the team, currently ranked No. 21 in the country, climb the national rankings.
The ACC has four teams in the Baseball America Top 25 Poll, with North Carolina ranked No. 5, Georgia Tech at No. 12, Miami at No. 13 and Virginia ranked No. 19. ACC All Access takes a closer look at the success the conference is having in baseball and highlights the best games of the past week.
And in the ACC All Access Hog Blog, Mike Hogewood spotlights the 42 ACC athletes who were named recipients of the Weaver-James-Corrigan and Jim and Pat Thacker Scholarships, which are given to select ACC student-athletes who intend to pursue a graduate-level degree following graduation.
