This week’s ACC All Access features North Carolina’s Jessica Breland, a junior forward on the women’s basketball team who spent the 2009-10 season on the sidelines due to Hodgkins Lymphoma. The show highlights a nonprofit endeavor of the ball player called the Comeback Kids Fund, which provides support for cancer research and treatment at UNC’s pediatric oncology program.
Then ACC All Access profiles two members of the Lady Yellow Jackets women’s basketball team: 6’5” junior center Sasha Goodlett and senior guard Deja Foster. Georgia Tech has won a school record 13 games in a row this season and is one of three ACC teams that remains unbeaten in the conference.
And in this week’s Hog Blog, Mike Hogewood takes a look at Florida State’s men’s basketball team, which finds itself in the midst of a three-way tie at the top of the ACC standings after defeating No. 1 Duke last week. Hogewood says the Seminoles have officially “thrown their spear into the ACC Championship ring.”
