Clemson Sweeps ACC Weekly Track And Field Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Clemson sprinters Brunson Miller and Dezerea Bryant claimed ACC Weekly Track and Field honors after winning efforts in last weekend’s FSU Relays at Tallahassee, Fla.
Miller was named ACC Men’s Performer of the Week, while Bryant received Women’s Performer of the Week honors.
Miller’s posted a time of 46.24 in the 400-meter dash, the top time in the NCAA thus far and placing first among a field of 42 runners. The time was a personal best for the Murrells Inlet, S.C., junior and ranks eighth on Clemson’s all-time list. Miller also ran on a 4x100 relay team that posted a first-place time of 39.84 – currently third in the nation – and placed seventh among a 33-runner field in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.55.
Bryant, a sophomore from Milwaukee, won the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.76, which currently leads the ACC and ranks 12th on the national performance list. Bryant also helped the Tigers’ 4x100 relay team to a meet-winning time of 43.95, which currently ranks third nationally.
