ACC Names Lynde as Senior Associate Commissioner for Brand Marketing

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Atlantic Coast Conference Commissioner John Swofford announced today that Tim Lynde has been chosen to fill the position of Senior Associate Commissioner for Brand Marketing.
"Tim brings a remarkable background in marketing and branding which will greatly enhance our efforts as we look to the future of our league,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford. “I’m pleased to welcome Tim to the ACC and I know he will serve our schools and partners well in this very important position.”
Lynde’s responsibilities will include the management and strategy of the league’s overall marketing and branding initiatives; development of marketing plans for the ACC Football Championship Game, ACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments and the league’s Olympic Sport Championships; coordination of the conference’s broadcast media initiatives related to branding with national and regional television networks; and serving as the commissioner's liaison to the league’s marketing directors.
Lynde will join the conference office from IMG College where he recently served as Vice President –Television. Prior to his time at IMG College, Lynde spent six years as a Sports Marketing Manager at The Home Depot where he led sponsorship negotiations, strategy development and marketing for the National Football League, Major League Baseball, ESPN College GameDay, United States Olympic Committee and The Home Depot Center. Prior to The Home Depot, Lynde also spent time at The Coca-Cola Company, Chick-fil-A Bowl, the NCAA and Advantage International.
Lynde earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wake Forest University and a master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee.
