Sophomore’s tying goal against No. 1 UNC keeps Deacons unbeaten in ACC play
GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Wake Forest sophomore defender Jalen Robinson has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after his clutch game-tying goal against top-ranked North Carolina helped the Demon Deacons remain unbeaten in ACC play.
Robinson’s goal came with just 57 seconds remaining and tied the score in Saturday’s match, which eventually ended in a 1-1 draw. The Catonsville, Md., native scored off a corner kick by teammate Michael Gamble. Robinson’s goal, his first of the season, came before a regular-season record crowd of 4,587 at Spry Stadium.
Wake Forest finished the week with a 1-0-1 record to improve to 5-2-1 on the season.
