Freshman leads third-ranked Orange to a pair of wins

GREENSBORO, N.C. - (theACC.com) Syracuse freshman forward Karlee Farr has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Field Hockey Player of the Week after leading the third-ranked Orange to a pair of victories, including a 2-1, double-overtime league win over seventh-ranked Duke.

Farr scored Syracuse's lone goal in regulation in the road match at Duke on Friday. She followed up with the game-winning score in Sunday's come-from-behind, 3-1 win over New Hampshire. Farr, of Mount Joy, Pa., has scored five goals in her last three games.

The win over Duke was Syracuse's fourth victory over a top-10 team in a five game stretch, and its fifth of the season. The Orange is currently riding a six game winning streak.
