Six ACC Men’s Soccer Teams Ranked in NSCAA Preseason Poll

Three squads earn spots in the top 10

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Maryland, which reached the 2012 College Cup, leads all Atlantic Coast Conference teams with a No. 2 ranking in the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll.

North Carolina is ranked fourth and Notre Dame is seventh, giving the ACC three teams in the top 10 in the poll. No. 17 Wake Forest, No. 20 Syracuse, and No. 25 Virginia also will begin the 2013 campaign nationally ranked.

Five league teams were selected for the NCAA Championship in 2012, and league newcomers Notre Dame and Syracuse reached the postseason as well.

The 2013 season gets under way Aug. 30, with all 12 teams in action. Conference play begins the weekend of Sept. 6.
