Multi-Platinum Artists Rodney Atkins and Sara Evans Headlining 2013 ACC FanFest

Live Concerts Highlight Free Public Event Leading Up To Kickoff Of Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game
Charlotte, N.C. – Acclaimed national recording artists Rodney Atkins and Sara Evans will headline the 2013 ACC FanFest presented by AT&T, game officials announced. ACC FanFest, which is free and open to the public, takes place Saturday, December 7th, from noon to 7:00 p.m., prior to kickoff of the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship. The headliners will appear live on the Dr Pepper Stage, with Evans playing at 3:30 p.m. and Atkins performing at 5:30 p.m.
Award-winning singer/songwriter Rodney Atkins has an impressive track record with hitting on sentiments that strike a chord with the country listener. Atkins has landed six No. 1 hits, including the platinum-selling chart-topper, "Take A Back Road," and has over five million single sales in the past five years alone. In 2006, Rodney was named ACM's Top New Male Vocalist while also garnering back-to-back recognition with Billboard's Most Played Song of the Year Award for "If You're Going Through Hell" (2006) and "Watching You" (2007). He is also the national spokesperson the National Council for Adoption.
One of the most compelling vocalists of her generation, Sara Evans has garnered numerous accolades, including the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist honor in 2006 and the Country Music Association's Video of the Year for her hit chart-topping single, "Born to Fly" off her double-platinum album of the same name. Named to People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People," Sara's career includes the Platinum-selling studio albums Real Fine Place and Restless, the Gold-certified No Place That Far and the double-Platnium selling Born To Fly.
ACC FanFest presented by AT&T, located adjacent to Bank of America Stadium and centered at the intersection of Mint and Graham Streets, is the ultimate pregame activity. Football fans of all ages can get into the spirit of ACC Football with live music, interactive games, team mascots, food and beverage, autograph signings, game merchandise, giveaways from ACC Corporate Champions and general family fun. Special attractions include an ACC Mascot Football game and performances by the participating teams’ bands and cheerleaders.
The 2013 Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game will be played in Charlotte on Saturday, December 7th with a primetime kickoff and gates opening at 6:00 p.m. The game is held at Bank of America Stadium, home of the NFL's Carolina Panthers and the Belk Bowl. The ACC Champion earns an automatic berth to play in the Discover Orange Bowl, if not selected for the BCS National Championship Game.
