Georgia Tech’s Brandon Lasater and Boston College’s Liv Westphal named ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Georgia Tech’s Brandon Lasater and Boston College’s Liv Westphal have been named ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week following their competition this past weekend.

Lasater, a junior from Perry, Ga., led the Yellow Jackets with a fourth-place finish out of 95 runners in Saturday’s Furman Invitational in Greenville, S.C. Lasater finished the 8k course in a career-best time of 24:07, leading the Yellow Jackets to a fifth-place finish out of 25 teams. Lasater’s fifth-place finish was the best among the three ACC schools that competed.

Westphal, a junior from Limoges, France, captured individual honors at the UMass Invitational last Saturday in Amherst, Mass. In leading the Eagles to the team crown, Westphal finished the 5k course with a time of 16:58, 21 seconds ahead of teammate Madeleine Davidson crossed the line at 17:19, good for second overall. Boston College’s top five runner all finished in the top nine in a field of 74.
