GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Florida State sophomore Zak Seddon and junior Hannah Walker Ross have been named ACC Cross Country Performers of the Week following their competition this past weekend.

Seddon recorded his second collegiate victory, leading the Seminole men to a runaway Covered Bridge Open team title at State Farm Field in Boone, N.C. Seddon cruised the 8k course in 25:41.43 to edge teammate Josh Gracia as the Seminoles claimed five of the top seven positions to win the team title with a meager 19 points. It was Seddon’s first cross country victory since claiming the Virginia Tech Invitational/Pre-ACC meet last season.

In her United States collegiate debut, Walker pulled away from the field over the final kilometer to capture the Covered Bridge Open individual title at State Farm Field, the home course of Appalachian State. Walker won the 5k race in 18:05.88 to lead a 1-7 sweep by the No. 2-ranked Seminoles. Florida State won the team title in the season-opener with a perfect 15-point scoring total.
