Tiger Tidbits

Three starters and five of the top seven scorers from a team that finished 13-18 overall and 11th in the ACC with an 5-13 league mark, return for head coach Brad Brownell ... the Tigers were second in the ACC and 34th nationally in scoring defense a year ago, allowing only 60.1 points per game, their lowest yield since since 1950 ... 10 of Clemson’s last 15 games were decided by seven points or less ... Devin Booker led the team in scoring (13.1) and rebounding (7.5) and was named third-team All-ACC by ACSMA.

K.J. McDaniels blocked at least one shot in 25 of his 28 games en route to  becoming the first Clemson player since Sharone Wright in 1992-93 to lead the ACC in blocked shots ... the 6-foot-6 forward is the shortest player ever to lead the ACC in blocked shots (2.1) ... team’s leading returning scorer (10.9) and rebounder (5.0) from a year ago ... fifth in the ACC in per game scoring improvement (+7.0) in 2013.

Rod Hall started 30 of 31 games a year ago as a sophomore and had five-or-more assists 11 times ... led the Tigers and finished ninth in the ACC in assists per game (3.5) ... was seventh in the ACC in assists-to-turnover ratio (1.83:1).

Jordan Roper was fourth on the team in scoring (7.9) as a freshman and shot .414 from 3-point range ... tallied 18 points in Clemson’s ACC Tournament game against Florida State ... averaged 11.0 points per game over the last 11 games of the 2013 season.
