Senior defender scored two goals in Eagles’ OT win at Boston University

GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – Boston College senior defender Chris Ager has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week after his two-goal performance keyed the Eagles to victory in their season opener on Friday night.

Ager scored both Boston College goals in a 2-1 overtime road win over rival Boston University. The Gjettum, Norway, native tallied the equalizer in the 48th minute on a header off a corner kick. He then scored the game-winning goal with 34 seconds left in overtime.

It marks the first time in his career that the Eagles’ team captain has scored two goals in the same match. Ager had one career goal entering Friday night’s game, and that came during his sophomore season (2011).
