ACC Digital Network Announces “Can You Dunk It?” Fan Dunk Contest
Tuesday February 4, 2014
@theACCDN Asks ACC sports fans to submit videos as part of the #Dunkuary Promotion
Charlotte, N.C. -- The ACC Digital Network brought to you by Ruby Tuesday, announced today a fan dunk contest called “Can You Dunk It?”, as part of the celebration of the slam dunk during February, or what is otherwise known as ‘Dunkuary’ in the ACC.
Last year, the ACCDN asked fans to choose the best dunk of all time by an ACC player, in which Virginia’s Mustapha Farrakhan dunk won over Isma’il Muhammad in the final fan vote. This year, the ACCDN decided to see what kind of creative dunks fans have and is asking them to upload their best dunk to theACC.com.
“Sports would be nothing if it weren’t for the fans who bring it to life and who live and breathe by their favorite college teams,” said Matt Carstens, EVP & GM of the ACCDN. "One of the best things about the ACCDN is not only the depth of college sports coverage that we provide to our fans, but also the fact that we can have a little fun too. This Dunkuary ‘Can You Dunk It?’ contest provides ACC sports fans, former athletes and students all over the world a platform to show off their own skills and creativity, while at the same time showcasing pride for their favorite school.”
